PINK SMOOTHIE BOWL
Wow you guys! It has been a bit too long since I’ve spent some time tending to #houseofhealthblog! However, I am so excited to share lots of new content and yummy recipes with you!
I’ve been experimenting with some fun new ingredients, one of them being Pitaya!
A lot of people know it as Dragon Fruit. It’s beautiful! Like a lot of other fruits, Pitaya is very high in antioxidants and vitamin C. It also contains good fatty acids and some protein. Also… THAT COLOR. I think this is my new favorite smoothie ingredient.
In this recipe, I’m using freeze dried Pitaya. I really like this variety because it’s easy to store and it lasts longer than the fresh fruit. Here’s the recipe for the smoothie bowl above!

Ingredients
2 Frozen Bananas
4 Medium Strawberries
1 TBSP Freeze Dried Pitaya
8 oz. Pineapple Juice
1 1/2 Cups Ice Cubes
Directions
Add all ingredients into your blender in the order listed. Blend until you reach desired consistency! Top with fresh banana slices, or any other favorite toppings you may have! For a thicker mix, add more ice cubes, and for a more drinkable consistency, add more pineapple juice or water.
